This blog tells for the first time what lead up to opening the Free Store , what happened well it was open and what is happening now.

Reconsume.com is dedicated to the creating of a common ground wherein all people can effect environmental change through the reconsumption of our resources.

If you are like most of us you may be feeling you would like to do something to support a healthy planet but your not sure what that something is. We feel the same way so here's what we are doing.

Firstly we decided not to focus on the apparent problems as everyone seems to have a different perspective on it. Who's right? Who's wrong? I don't know, it makes my head hurt. But we can see from looking around that things could be done differently.

Here is what we came up with. If you would like to come on board with us great, if not no problem. We know you all have lots to do, so if you are not able to lend a hand right now we totally understand. When your free of those things please consider our venture.

The name of the company is reconsume.com home of Sheryl's Common Ground Free Store.

The best way to explain this venture is to divide it into smaller components;

A.....some history and what reconsume.com does
B.....explanation reconsumption markets
C.....the micro-network structure
D.....bringing it all together

Brief history;

For the last five years we have been market testing and constructing the basic structure of reconsume.com . The concept is simple, create a data base of everything that can be "reconsumed" on the planet.

This only sounds impossible until someone does it. There is no other venture like this anywhere. We are not affiliated with any group, sponsor or advertiser. There is no re-direction at our website. Its just each of us talking directly to each other.

The reconsume.com website becomes the interface for the gathering, editing and distribution of all our local reconsuming efforts.

We studied, used and beat up hundreds of websites. We can tell you straight up no one is doing what we are doing…..no one.

However when we finished our last market test we discovered that we had built a much bigger venture then we had imagined. It is a big concept all by itself but we saw just how big when we began describing it to others.

To describe it takes a bit of explaining but its well worth the read.

What is reconsume.com and what does it do?

If you check our website you would see something that looks like a classified site, or buy sell site. There are lots out there and on the outside reconsume.com looks like all the others.

Lets point out here that almost all the sites we checked out did not allow you to make an income. There was no mechanism for you to become part of the revenue making process.

Reconsuming dynamics;

If you are SELLING ( reconsuming ) something you get the information about that thing out to as many people as you can. You would use classifieds, tv ads, put a sign on it, tell your friends, put ads on bulletin boards every where etc and of course put a listing on all the free and pay sites on the Internet.

If you are BUYING ( reconsuming ) something you go looking in all the places named above.

If you are TRADING, WANTING or AUCTIONING then the above options are again all you have.

Here is what we learned from our market testing. There are a number of unseen barriers stopping you from reconsuming your items. These barriers reflect just how old this system is. Here are four of the barriers we are addressing;

1....the barrier of “time” is a huge factor in buying or selling (reconsuming ) anything.
2....the barrier of “geography” is equally a huge factor in buying or selling
3....the barrier of “manpower” “staff” “networks” are all factors when buying or selling
4....the barrier of “abilities” or the lack there of, are factors for you when buying or selling

Some companies remove part of these barriers. Some companies can only function with the barriers in place.

Change is not always easy and the future not always clear but continuing to use real old buying selling methods just don’t cut it anymore.

reconsume.com removes the barrier of TIME;

Time or timing is the single biggest factor facing buyers / sellers ( reconsumers ). As a seller you are hoping that the buyer is looking for what you have at the same time you are selling it. Its kind of like hit or miss. You know someone wants it but they are not wanting it right at the time you are selling it. Hence it either does not sell or you are forced to reduce the price to sell it to anyone that comes along.

The same works in reverse for the buyer. You are looking to buy something but you can only see a very small amount of items you want and or in many cases you can’t find it at all. So you either buy what ever you do find (often not what you want) or buy it for more then its worth because it’s the only one you did find.

Reconsume.com removes the barrier of time by keeping all items listed until they sell or are removed. All listings are advertised at the website for as long as it takes to find a buyer ( reconsumer ). As a buyer you will come to know that reconsume.com has a vast listing data base of all that is being sold by other people right inside your community.

As a buyer ( reconsumer ) its free to browse our data base of items.

Just by removing this barrier of ‘time’ guarantees that buyers and sellers will connect with each other. Some one always wants what you have. Some one always has what you want.

Reconsume.com removes the barrier of GEOGRAPHY.

Where you are buying or selling ( reconsuming ) from has a lot to do with accessing the markets. Buying or selling in a large city is not the same as a small or rural area.

To sell a one of a kind motor home in a small town of a few thousand people makes it hard to find a buyer. Same can be said for selling a toaster on the global market. Will a buyer from an other country come to buy your second hand wally world toaster?

However geography works both ways. Reconsume.com creates a local micro-network of everything available in your community. Now you can sell or buy ( reconsume ) right in your own communities.

Now you can sell or find that toaster locally or sell or buy your motor home globally.

What happens is that many items we want to buy or sell are small lower priced items and the local reconsume.com micro-network fills that need.

Then, when you need a global market the reconsume.com micro-network is there for you.

There is a mistaken concept that because something doesn't sell there are no real buyers for it. Nothing could be further from the truth, they can't find you. Same can be said for buyers. Just because you can't find something doesn't mean its not out there, we all know it is, you just can't find it.

This mistaken concept has sent millions of your reconsumer dollars to the landfill. We don't have any idea what our neighbor has, let alone whats available in our community.

This is where the Internet comes in. The Internet gives us the entire planet to do business. The reconsume.com website gives buyers sellers access to all the buy sell data where ever it might be, anytime. Buyers, sellers ( reconsumers) can find anything at anytime because reconsume.com has removed the second barrier of geography.

Reconsume.com removes the barrier of MANPOWER.

Manpower is the measure of any buy sell business to create more business.

Example; if you own a boat dealership and you want to expand you have to find a market outside where you are and make plans to access it. You have to buy or rent premises, hire and train staff, administer the business from a distance etc.

To increase your market share you need to duplicate yourself over and over. At the end of the day you are a larger boat dealer if all went well.

What if we said you could access those same markets and NOT have to buy or rent premises, hire and train staff, administer the business from a distance etc, would you be interested?

Firstly you increase your manpower by using the reconsume.com services in that we have removed the barriers between buyers and sellers.

Secondly you can engage (optional) all the reconsume.com Independent Representatives by offering a referral fee ( a percentage of the sale price ) for them to find you a buyer for anything you have. ANYTHING.

You now have an army of reps all looking for a buyer so they can access the referral you are offering. By accessing the reconsume.com Micro-network of Independent Reps and offering a small percentage of the sale price you increase your selling manpower by every rep in the global reconsume.com micro-network. The referral process is an optional service.

Reconsume.com removes the barrier of ABILITY.

Definition of ability “ the quality of being able”. This is a most interesting barrier. We limit our ability to buy or sell ( reconsume ) based on our self imposed barriers.

Example; if I’m looking for a snowmobile I would go to a dealer. I would explain what I want and they would describe what they sell. If I then asked this same dealer to help me find a good washer / dryer set they would not know what to say. Hence their ability to meet my buying selling needs ( reconsuming needs ) is limited to their self imposed ability to only sell one thing (snowmobiles).

Reconsume.com reps have the ability to provide all the buy sell information anyone will ever need. All in one place, all the time, for any thing. Anyone can access this information themselves on the Internet or they can contact their rep by phone, fax, snail mail etc.

That is the basic structure of reconsume.com. Here are some other features.

Reconsume.com connects all clients, which are people reconsuming their stuff at the website, with the Independant reps. Reconsume.com does not service clients, all clients are connected to reps. Clients can be redirected to other reps in your micro-network or a micro-network of your choice. This is helpful if you intend on building a network of reps as opposed to creating a network of clients.

A portion ( approx 50%) of listing revenue is paid directly to reps for as long as you are a rep. ( some rules apply ).

If you decide to build just a reps micro-network then approximately 20 to 25% of listing revenue from reps connected to you is paid to you. This will be explained in more detail in the micro-network section.

Referral fees ( a small percentage of the sale price ) is split this way.
Example; 30% of the referral fee would go to the rep that found the item for sale, 30% to the rep that found the buyer, 15% to the referral bonuses.

Clients can engage the referral process right at the website.

As a reconsume.com rep we will connect you to any client that signs up
( creates a profile ) at the website and give you the revenues from them. We will continue to pay you for these clients as long as they remain connected to you via their profile and you are a qualified rep.

We are a service based company, no selling of stuff at anytime. All we do is connect buyers with sellers. That’s it. KISS keep it successfully simple.

This would be a fantastic stand alone business if we stopped right here. It would meet all reconsuming, buying selling requirements of most people on the planet. But we have made it even better.

Well we were building this company we found a huge market we would like to tell you about. Its the market the reconsume.com Micro-network was built to access.

The second component is the “market”.

To identify the new market we will first describe the current markets on the planet, then we will show you the other market.

When we first started reconsume.com we identified a large market segment of all used and discarded items. This market size is large enough to support millions of reps connecting buyers to sellers. However we soon realized the market we where going after was much, much larger.

Definition of all the markets on the planet;

First up is resources.

This would be all the building matter that is taking from the earth to build other things re/ metals, foods, resources from the oceans, wood, plastics, petroleum. You get the idea. Everything that is taking from the earth to build or create the things we see and use everyday.

Next comes manufacturing, transporting etc.

This would be everything that can be done to a resource to make it usable by us. Everything that is packaged, changed, processed and moved.

Then there is us, the consumer.

We consume everything that has been taking from the earth. We consume it all. We also build roads with it, hospitals, sky scrapers, trains etc.

Then we discard it.

When we are done we discard it ALL back to the earth.

So it looks like this;
1....all our resources are taking from the earth
2....resources are changed to fit what the consumer wants
3....the consumer (us) consumes all the resources.
4....we discarded the resources back to the earth.

Everything we do, everything we have, everything we have had, everything our family has and will have or did have comes from this market.

EVERYTHING THAT IS HERE, ON THE PLANET, IS A PART OF THIS MARKET

Please note here that every item you have ever used, every one of them is still here! All of it, every pen, paper, car, food you ate, cloths you bought, all of it. Its all still here right on the planet. No doubt not far from where you are.

From the definition above you can decide if we missed any thing? Is there anything you can think of that we missed? I can assure you everything is accounted for.

We do re-cycle some of it and we reconsume some things like cars etc but for the vast majority it goes right to the land fill.

This reconsumption market has not even been fully identified yet. We are the first to create a company strictly to access this market.

The micro-network. What it is and how it works.

Reconsume.com is a service based company. The reps micro-network is the hinge that makes it all happen.

The power of this micro-network is its ability to really connect buyer to sellers as never seen before.

Being service based reconsume.com had to create our own networking model because all the networks we looked at where product based re/ sold things. None of these networks could work for us, however they can engage us with ease if they choose to. That’s another market we can talk about later.

So we created our own micro-network. As networks go this one is simple, easy to understand and has a pay out that is unique.

The reconsume.com Micro-network is fair, easy to learn, can be operated from anywhere, by anyone, full time, part time, real world based, internet based. You can connect to the Micro-network through any business modal you wish to create.

Reps share the profits, share the wealth. The more we let go of the revenue the more people we can attach to the business. Everyone benefits, not just a few at the top or the first to arrive. The benefits are the same no matter when you come in.

What are the pay outs to the reps?

Approx 50% of all the listing fees goes directly to the listing reps. Whether the rep places the listing or their clients place listings at the website.

As said before all clients are connected to reps. Either directly by the reps at the reps website or by reconsume.com based on which zone the reps are in (zones will be explained later).

Reps receive up to 60% of referral fees. 30% to the rep that found the seller, 30% to the rep that finds the buyer, 15% to bonus zone.

The reps micro-networks are only three rows deep but can hold as many people as you wish. Reps will be paid from both reps and clients in their micro-network.

Reps can only have one reconsume.com micro-network but so can any other adult in the family. Reps can sponsor reps or place clients into their micro-network from anywhere they wish. However reconsume.com will only place reps or clients into your micro-network based on the zone you are in.

A zone is a grouping of Provinces, states, territories etc that add up to a minimum of four million people. These zones will be posted at the reps website.

Anytime an un-attached rep or client signs up with reconsume.com inside these zones they will be connected to the rep micro-networks inside that zone.

Now for the best part. The biggest down side for networks in the past has been the simple truth that those at the top or who start the network are the only ones that benefit. If you don’t get in right away you don’t stand a chance.

So we changed it up a bit. First thing we implemented was a listing earnings cap of $8,333.33 per month ( $100,000.00 peryear ).

These figures are based on the listing fees only. The overflow from these fees will be distributed back to qualified reps within this zone who did not reach their listing earning cap. If this over flow of listing earnings tops all the qualified reps to their monthly cap then the remaining funds will be disparsed equally to all qualified reps within that zone. This is called the reconsume.com Micro-network Equity Program.

To say this another way. All the over flow revenue from the listing fees will be given to the reps in the zone that are not making $100,000.00 per year. That a lot of incentive don’t you think.

Reps can make more then $100,000.00 a year from other revenue streams within the reconsume.com micro-network.
